How To Repair The Vacuum Cleaner

vacuum cleaner How To Repair The Vacuum Cleaner

Electrically operated sweeper is referred as Vacuum cleaner. It removes the dust and dirt by pumping air partially and sucks them in to dust bag and cleans the floor and walls. The dust bag is also referred to as cyclone bag which later disposes the waste out. The vacuum cleaner arrangement is of two type’s namely upright vacuum cleaner and canister vacuum cleaner.

  1. Step
    1

Upright vacuum cleaner can either be direct fan or fan bypass uprights. Most of the commercial vacuum pumps are of direct fan and day to day resident’s vacuum pumps are of fan bypass. Upright vacuum cleaner removes the dirt by sweeping and vibration.

  1. Step
    2

In canister vacuum cleaner, a cylindrical unit is connected to a vacuum head mounted on the wheels which is free to rotate on a flexible hose. The dust and dirt deposits should be removed before reaching the fan. If maintained properly and handled in delicate manner, a vacuum cleaner can long last for more than 7 to 8 years.

  1. Step
    3

Just before implementing the actions of cleaning or repairing the components, it is always better to have second thought. Like what may be the reason for repair or failure or under friction. During which sort of operation this problem occurred can be figured out to have a rough idea to solve the issues. The configuration parts are more to problems as it is specific in operation. Among these components vacuum cleaner belt are the worst part. This belt cannot be repaired if it is damaged. The only solution is to replace the belt from nearest commercial stores.

  1. Step
    4

If you feel the repair origin is in belt just unplug the machine and flip the belt in order to access the brush. With the help of screwdriver remove the brush from the bottom plate by unscrewing. Remove the belt that is rolled out at the vacuum cleaner ends. If the belt is not broken fully, it can be easily replaced by wrapping one of the last part with agitator brush and other part with motor driven shaft.

  1. Step
    5

Most of the times hair or threads just roll around the belts which retards the agitator from rotating and belt brakes. It is better to check for hairs before replacing with a new belt. The new belt can be affixed to the ends by pushing agitator brush and motor shafts. Bottom plate can be screwed back and analyzed for its working efficiency.

  1. Step
    6

The hoses should be inspected at least once in six months or a year. A flaw like hole or dust in a hose should be cleared by monitoring on a regular basis. The cyclone bags should be emptied if three fourth of it is filled. The suction of dirt and dust is hindered if the bags are full. The other common problem is electrical power inflow in the wire connected to the vacuum cleaner. This can be solved by unplugging the wires and checking it with tester. If tester is not available, using other electrical appliances the electrical supply can be confirmed in the holder.

  1. Step
    7

As it is electrically sucking the dust over the due course of operation, overheating can retard the vacuum cleaner from working. This can be rectified by cleaning the heading section and cleaning for proper time duration. Cooling eventually solves the problem of overheating which can then be analyzed for the other failures after unplugging. Dirt should be cleaned off from collection bags for it to maximize the suction action. It is vital for any electrical appliance to replace or clean the filter components during the course of reaction or after the process.

  1. Step
    8

The brush rollers are prone to roll the hairs or a thread which requires a proper cleaning. The brush rollers bearings should be lubricated to avoid friction. Usually the old bearings model are made of wood, however newer bearing is made up of plastic. By proper handling you will come to know whether the action is taking place at proper time and duration. This accurate operating maintenance helps in increasing the efficiency and life time of vacuum cleaner.

  1. Step
    9

If you find problem with electrical supply, it is advisable to use the multimeter. The fuse wires can be replaced after unplugging. The movable parts are the parts of failure. The motor replacement cost is equal to new vacuum cleaner cost. Economically it is not viable to replace the motor if it fails. The agitator brushes should also be examined for worn out conditions and replaced regularly. The vacuum cleaner components should be monitored for any bending or bent.

  1. Step
    10

The blower and wheel are usually subjected to be broken or bent eventually reduces the speed of a reaction. Initial screening of failure should start with physical identities like bend, broken parts, dirt, dust and noise from vacuum cleaner configured parts. It is wise to clearly understand the operation and failure causes before dismantling.
